He works on the team of the Socio-Environmental Policy and Law Program at ISA (Socio-Environmental Institute), developing political advocacy strategies with the Executive and Legislative branches, in conjunction with various segments and collectives of civil society. He was a representative of national environmental entities at Conama, and is currently part of the Steering Committee of the Amazon Fund (Cofa).

Andréia BavarescoInstituto Internacional de Educação do Brasil – IIEB

He has 25 years of experience working with indigenous peoples and traditional populations, developing sustainable development projects in partnership with international cooperation and public authorities, working mainly in non-governmental organizations. She is currently executive coordinator of the International Institute of Education of Brazil, president of the Indigenous Work Center, Fiscal Councilor of the Population and Nature Society Institute and member of the Advisory Committee of COIAB’s Pòdalli Fund.

Ane AlencarInstituto de Pesquisa Ambiental da Amazonia – IPAM

She is the Science Director at IPAM. Graduated in Geography from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), has a master’s degree in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System from Boston University and a doctorate in Forest Resources and Conservation from the University of Florida. Works in the area of analysis of territorial planning, monitoring and emissions from deforestation and degradation of the Amazon and Cerrado.

Caetano ScannavinoProjeto Saúde e Alegria – PSA

Social entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in the Amazon, he is coordinator of the NGO Projeto Saúde & Alegria (PSA). Based on the results achieved, awards and recognition obtained for PSA’s work, it has been increasingly demanded to disseminate its experiences, advise processes of transferring socio-environmental technologies with other Institutions, as well as integrate new fronts, networks and related articulations in favor of of a more harmonious, inclusive and sustainable future.

Delcio RodriguesInstituto ClimaInfo

He is a physicist, environmentalist, executive director of the ClimaInfo Institute and leader of the Brazilian nucleus of the international network of climate communicators GSCC. Délcio was already executive director of the Ekos Brasil Institute, advisor to the Executive Secretariat of the Ministry of the Environment, leader of the Global Team at Greenpeace International, director of Campaigns at Greenpeace Brazil, coordinator of the Akatu Institute for Conscious Consumption, consultancy manager Ibope Ambiental and Energy Planning and Environmental Relations analyst for consulting companies and electricity distributors.

Marina Piatto Garcia IMAFLORA

Executive director of Imaflora, she has worked with the organization since 2005. Agronomist from Unesp and master in Tropical Agriculture from the University of Bonn, Germany. Dedicated to building networks and strategies to increase deforestation-free production, with low carbon emissions and maintaining workers’ social rights

Marcio Astrini Secretário Executivo

Graduated in public management and postgraduate in public policy and constitutional law. He has extensive experience in the Executive, Legislative and third sector branches. For the last 13 years, he has worked at Greenpeace Brasil, where he coordinated the areas of climate, the Amazon and, more recently, public policies. He has been executive secretary of the OC since March 2020.

Joana Amaral Coordenadora de Engajamento e Mobilização

Forestry engineer, with a master’s degree in development, society and international cooperation, and a diploma in advanced studies in environmental education. He has more than 15 years of experience in managing projects and programs in the Brazilian Ministries of Education and Environment, and in facilitating participatory processes, management and governance in international organizations, NGOs and networks.

Claudio Angelo Coordenador Política Internacional

Journalist, has 20 years of experience covering international climate negotiations and climate science. He is the author of “The death spiral – how humanity altered the climate machine” (Companhia das Letras, 2016) and “The silence of the chainsaw – when Brazil decided to save the Amazon”, with the collaboration of Tasso Azevedo (Companhia das Letras , 2024). He is the winner of the Esso Journalism Prize (scientific and technological information, 2009) and the Jabuti Prize (natural sciences, environment and mathematics, 2017).

Suely Araújo Coordenadora de Politicas Publicas

Urban planner and lawyer, she has a doctorate in political science. Legislative consultant to the Chamber of Deputies for 29 years, in the areas of environment and urbanism. Volunteer professor and full collaborator researcher at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Brasília. Professor of the master’s degree in public administration at the Brasiliense Institute of Public Law. He was President of Ibama (2016-2018).

Graduated in international relations from the University of Coimbra and political science from SciencesPo Bordeaux, master in cooperation and development, she specializes in managing programs, processes, results and governance.

Isvilaine da Silva Conceição Assessora de Engajamento e Mobilização

Graduated in environmental engineering. She is a climate activist and in her activism she seeks to intersect socio-environmental issues with racial and gender issues. She was a volunteer and coordinator of the climate change GT at Engajamundo for the last 3 years.

Stela Herschmann Especialista em política climática

Master in Administration from EBAPE/FGV with an emphasis on Government, Institutions and Public Policies, Master in Environmental Law and Policies from Duke University and specialist in Environmental Law from PUC-Rio. He has worked with licensing and impact assessment and has worked on the climate and third sector agenda since 2014.

Fábio Ishisaki Assessor de políticas públicas

Lawyer and professor of environmental and climate law. Master in Environmental Science (USP). MBA Management and Environmental Technologies (USP). He has worked in the private sector and has worked in third sector organizations since 2020. At OC he works in monitoring and analyzing public policies.

Mariana Lyrio Assessora de Relações Institucionais

He previously worked at the government relations and public policy consultancy, BMJ Consultores Associados, where he led the environment unit. In addition, she accumulated experience at WWF-Brazil and the United Nations and volunteered at Engajamundo and the Climate Reality Project. He has a degree in Journalism and obtained an MBA in International Relations.

Journalist graduated from ECA-USP, worked at publishers Globo, Abril and Bei. She is a founding partner of P&B Comunicação, a company focused on causes since 2006. At OC, she is responsible for the strategic dissemination of environmental and climate change topics.

Communicator, for over 10 years she has worked to mobilize and strengthen the socio-environmental agenda on social media. It operates through content production, strategies, analysis, digital channel management and relationships with the public.

Priscila Pacheco Jornalista

Journalist, co-founder of Mural – Agência de Jornalismo das Periferias. She is co-author of the book “Unbias the news: Why diversity matters for journalism” and the comic book “Minas da Várzea”. Won the MPT award in the university category (2015) and the ICFJ Health award (2021). He has published works in Vice Brasil, Folha de S. Paulo, Estadão, Plenamata, the Gabo Foundation’s solutions journalism blog (Colombia), Outride.rs (Poland) and AARP Magazine (USA).

Leila Salim Jornalista

Journalist and PhD in Communication and Culture from UFRJ. He has experience covering politics, health, human rights and climate change, with an emphasis on fact-checking and combating misinformation. She was a reporter and editor for Revista Poli, at the Escola Politécnica de Saúde Joaquim Venâncio (EPSJV/Fiocruz) and a professor at UFRJ and UFRN.

David Tsai Coordenador do SEEG

Graduated in chemical engineering and geography. He participated in the preparation of the Climate Observatory’s Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Removals Estimation System (SEEG) since its inception in 2012 and took over its general coordination in 2023. He is part of the team at the Institute of Energy and Environment (IEMA ), where he coordinates the Air Quality Platform.

Especialista em desenvolvimento internacional, Bacharel em Relações Internacionais, Pós-graduado em Políticas Públicas e Administração e Mestre em Política Econômica com especialização em economia do desenvolvimento pela School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) da Columbia University. Atua há mais de 13 anos em cooperação internacional nas áreas de economia inclusiva e sustentabilidade. Trabalhou em governo, setor privado (consultorias de desenvolvimento) e terceiro setor.
